On this hike we chose the House Creek Trail that starts behind the mall and goes to the bridge to the North Carolina Museum of Art. Round trip was 5.4 miles. Raleigh is not known for the hills but this trail has some and the first half is more up than down or level. The last 2 tenths to the bridge are fairly steep. If plans go well and the rain holds off, Friday should be a long hike at Lake Norman State Park. Fingers crossed.
